About Whitman Park
Our Story
Whitman Park Youth Organization has a rich history. Founded in the late 1940's Whitman Park began as an elite youth football program, where the best of the best young athletes from Camden City, NJ competed around the country as members of Pop Warner. The program shut down in the early 90's and was resurrected in the latter part of 1999 under the Camden City Youth Football program. In 2007 Whitman Park Tigers became members of the Tri - County Midget football League.
Throughout the years no matter who was the face of the organization the mission has always remained the same. "We strive to prepare individuals for life by building characteristics of strength, leadership, scholarship, and integrity while focusing on sports and mentoring the youth of Camden City."
Whitman Park Youth Organization future plans include expanding to other sports and implementing a mentor and tutoring program for the children of Camden City.
